Ellie's 2nd Christmas

Hello, hello... We've had quite the busy December with business trips, birthday parties, and multiple Christmas celebrations. The first extravaganza was in Long Beachwith Mimi, Papa and Uncle Bill...the second in Atkins with Mamaw, Papaw, Aunt Connie, Uncle Charlie, Jill, Matt, Konnor, Katie, Michael, Makali and Addison...and of course James, DeAnna, Brant, Danielle, Grannie (Nana?) and Ellie Jo... Click on the hyperlinks above to see the pictures. You'll notice that Ellie LOVES her scooter, and more importantly she also loves the football that Uncle Bill gave her Daddy. She also got really tired before the group photo's with the cousins... The photos are great!

We flew to Arkansas on the 22nd and are only willing to get on an airplane with Ellie again because we don't have another way to get home. It was quite a harrowing experience. Thank goodness we had a direct, non-stop flight from LA to Fayetteville because Ellie didn't nap that day - we counted on her sleeping on the flight but she had other plans. The flight attendants on our flight were amazing - they walked her up and down the aisle, played with her, read with her and basically entertained her. She hated sitting down and being still. She wanted to investigate EVERYTHING on the plane and threw the most massive fit I've ever seen during our decent. We gave her her own seat, had her on our laps, we tried it all and nothing worked. She just didn't want to be there and to be still...and she was over tired so there was no reasoning with her. We're praying for a calmer trip on the way home...

Ellie is talking up a storm but can't say Grannie yet. Thankfully Brenda is quite flexible and is basically willing to let Ellie call her whatever she can get out. Right now we're working on Nana and hoping that Ellie doesn't confuse her grandma with a banana...they're both called the same name...

The packages are wrapped and under the tree, the breakfast quiche casserole is made and waiting to be baked, and Ellie's stocking is stuffed. I'm off to bed to get some much needed rest...

Merry Christmas to everyone. We love you!
