We had a relaxing morning complete with cartoons and waffles, and by the time Rhett was up from his morning nap, Ellie and I were ready to head out the door. First stop...the Mission Valley YMCA. Ellie will be spending 2 weeks at the YMCA camp later this summer as a transition from daycare to kindergarten. Hopefully she will learn to function without a nap (they get a 30minute "quiet time" as opposed to the 2+hr nap at daycare), and will see that going somewhere where you don't already know people isn't too scary. She was so excited to see the pool, the kids playing and doing crafts, the area where they hang their backpacks... and honestly I teared up while we were watching the kids. It's hard for me to believe that it's time for my first baby to move beyond Jack and Cheryl's and broaden her horizons. More on that in a few weeks, I'm sure of it.
Next we hit Target for a couple of birthday presents, and then we were on to the Werner's for some fun in the pool. Milo was asleep, so Rhett played with the girls. Ada and Ellie were very patient and gentle with Rhett - such sweet girls they are.

Home for naps for everyone! And the best part was that the weekend hadn't even officially started!
