Happy Halloween!

Oh boy - what a fun Halloween we had! Mimi came down and spent Friday and Saturday nights with us. Saturday the 3 of us girls went shopping, then home for naps, and got ready for trick or treating with Ada and her family. Uncle Bill and Renee came along for the fun...the girls were so brave going up to the super spooky houses to collect their candy. There were lots of houses in the neighborhood that went all out with decorations. Houses with foggers and spooky music...moving floors and black lights. I was impressed with Ellie's bravery! The photo below shows what Ellie learned from her Uncle Bill...that's what you do with your candy bucket before there's any candy in it!

Today after Mimi left we got busy preparing the new house. Ellie and I went to Walmart for some heavy duty cleaner and shelf paper, then over to the new house and got to work. Brant made a zillion trips, emptying out our garage and toting all of our "treasures" to the new garage. We're planning on getting movers for the furniture, but thought we would handle the garage on our own. He did such a great job - our garage is almost empty!
Ellie got new jammies...we think one of the reasons she gets up so early is because she's COLD! We know her bedroom is cold (or hot - depending on the outside temperature), but she's got plenty of blankets. Well, when Mimi slept with her (on the trundle bed) she noted that Ellie does not stay under the covers. Warmer jammies were in order! Here's our big girl in her spiffy new jammies! Notice the backpack on the floor by her bed - she insists that her toys sleep right next to her.

Tonight Ellie got to skype with her Nana. She sang Amazing Grace and showed Nana all of her candy and treasures from trick or treating. Thank goodness for technology - at least we can all "see" each other on the computer even though we live far away!
