After our delicious breakfast, we loaded up to go to the Carlsbad Outlets where Ellie found an adorable onesie for her new BABY BROTHER...due to arrive in mid-October. We found out last week that our latest addition will be a little boy, and we're all getting more and more excited to meet him!
After our shopping trip, we found a bench at the top of a bluff in Encinitas and had a picnic lunch. We really wanted to have a picnic ON the beach, but at 12:30pm on a holiday weekend, we didn't have much luck finding parking. But we enjoyed the view, listened to the waves and had lots of fun.
Sunday night Ellie played with one of her birthday presents - one of her daycare friends got her a gigantic drawing pad so she set to work with her crayons and stickers. Thank goodness we've finally found something to do with all of her stickers! She's been collecting them and not doing anything with them for YEARS!
We had pizza for dinner, then settled in with the second movie of the weekend...The Cat in the Hat movie which was horrible! It just wasn't at all what we were expecting or desiring... oh well - you never know until you watch!
