Tired...

We're all tired over here, but having fun nonetheless. Here are some Ellie updates...she loves to say things like: "Actually,......" and "I was just pretending" (she says that every time she's wrong or caught not telling the truth)...her favorite word right now is Chihuahua. She says it CONSTANTLY...everything and everyone is a Chihuahua. I'm hoping this phase passes quickly. She has also finally discovered that she can actually get out of bed after we put her to bed...she always claims she had to go potty, which is genius because really - we're not going to tell her she can't go potty!

Saturday morning Brant and I installed a ceiling fan in Ellie's room...she was such a big helper. Actually, we're really fortunate because Ellie will happily play in the play room with her toys and pretend for hours...

Saturday night we joined The Werner's at The Station for hamburgers, then went over to a local park for the first of many free summer concerts in the park! We ran into a bunch of other neighborhood families and the kids had a blast dancing the night away.
Sunday was an annual picnic, which is also a great networking event, for chemists in San Diego. I know you're all jealous...we got to hang out in the park on a gorgeous day with a bunch of chemists... Having a child makes events like that much more tolerable, because we can just focus on her when everything else is boring! Ellie had lots of fun on yet another new playground...
