Growth

Both kids are growing up too quickly! Ellie is enjoying all of her Christmas presents. She got a new soccer ball, a mini goal and cones from Uncle Bill, so last weekend we went to the park to play. We're thinking of signing her up for soccer this fall - she likes it and is really good at dribbling!

She loves to spell words and can write out many short words like CAT, HAT, BAT, MAT, etc. Whenever we are driving somewhere she pays attention to billboards and shop signs, trying to sound out the words. I can't believe she's going to be starting kindergarten in the fall...although I've heard it's much more of an adjustment for the parents than for the kids!

Rhett is getting so big! He is such a fun guy to spend my days with. He smiles, laughs and shrieks. He loves to be "baby talked" and will have his own version of a conversation with anyone who sits and talks to him. He LOVES to suck his thumb, and is getting more and more interested in Monkey Town (his playmat). His absolute favorite person in the world is his big sister...he watches her and smiles as soon as she enters the room.
