Sprinkler fun and Night Zoo

Ellie had a big day yesterday. As I said last week, it is officially HOT here in San Diego. So, yesterday morning Ellie got to play in the sprinklers with her buddy Eleanor. They are 363 days apart, and just adore each other. It is the cutest.

After lunch and a nap, we got to go to dinner with The Werners, then to the San Diego Zoo at night! How cool is that! Being members of the zoo is the coolest thing. We live about 8 minutes from the zoo, and it's fantastic to be able to go for just a couple of hours, just to look at a specific exhibit, and especially in the evening once the temperatures have cooled off. Ellie and Ada did such a good job. We didn't leave the zoo until 8:45pm, definitely after Ellie's bedtime. They walked almost the whole trip. Ellie had been dropping a lot of not-so-subtle hints about wanting ice cream. Once we got in the car I told her "Ellie - you did such a good job walking around the zoo. I'll bet your little legs are super tired!" She replied "My legs aren't tired at all. My legs are really hungry for ice cream!" Brant and I died laughing, and she said "Well they are hungry for ice cream..."

Today we're going to lay low and try to rest up for the upcoming week. There is an open house we want to go to at 1pm...we'll see what happens!

Ellie is so cute! Good luck with the house hunt. We are in the process of selling ours and looking for something bigger. It is such a pain!
