This year Ellie was able to not only sign all of her own cards, but also write the names of all of her friends. And some of them had long names! Christopher, Katherine...that's a lot of letters to fit on a small little valentine card! We are working with her on accepting mistakes, or more accurately, imperfections. She really wants everything to be perfect all the time (NO idea where that came from) and I'm hoping we can shape her to have more realistic expectations. We'll see how that goes.
She helped me bake heart shaped Valentine cookies for her friends...

Ellie's Valentine's Day present was a Rapunzel costume. Poor girl has outgrown the dress-up costumes sold at Target and Walmart, but still desperately wants to play dress-up. With a little online searching, I found a great solution! These dress-up gowns are soft, she can put them on and take them off BY HERSELF, and they're machine washable. It's a good thing they're washable, too, as she wore it to daycare for 2 days and was begging to wear it on the third day!

For Rhett's first Valentine's Day, he got LOTS AND LOTS of hugs and kisses, and a fancy mirror to look at himself in while we're in the car. He seems to enjoy it!
