Cinderella Part 2

Last weekend Mimi came down to go to the Cinderella ballet performed by the California Ballet Company with Ellie and myself. Or as Ellie calls it, Cinderella Part 2. We had great seats at the San Diego Civic Theater, and the tickets were a fundraiser for Ellie's school so it was a win for everyone. We really didn't know what to expect - I've never been to a ballet performance. Well guess what? There's no talking. No singing. No dialogue. Just music and dancing. Beautiful music and extraordinary dancing, but still - no talking. Thankfully there were lots of kids there because Ellie kept asking me "why aren't they talking? do you think they'll talk at all? how do they know what to do or what comes next if they're not talking?"

We were all rewarded for our good, grown up behavior, with a trip to El Zarape...where there was lots of talking to make up for lost time!
